This Taino pot is very special. It's a traditional Taino pot with Taino designs, but I used a South western native technique of burning horse hair and feather designs on the surface of the pot. This from my knowledge has never been done to Taino pots. So, it makes this pot very unique. .This pot with this technique is meant to be a decorative pot. It's not made to hold liquids or cook in.

Materials

Stoneware clay thrown on a electric wheel. Formed and designed carvings. Fired to bisque ware in a electric kiln. Fired again in a Raku kiln. Pulled out of the kiln and applied horse hair and feathers. Cooled, washed and polished.
