Taino Boat shaped vessel, refers to a type of created by the Taino ancestors. These vessels are often shaped like a boat, or canoe. And are made in earthenware clay. They are typically decorated with incised designs representing animals or ancestors. The one shown above is created to honor the Tanama ( Butterfly) Handmade on the island of Puerto Rico (Boriken) made in Stoneware clay.
