Prominent in traditional Chahta dress today, the diamond design honors the eastern diamondback rattlesnake, called sinti hullo – or supernatural snake – by Chahta ancestors, who revered the reptile not only for its dominance and pre-strike warning, but also for its help in protecting crops from predators. Each diamond is made of handwoven olive, Spanish olive, and cactus colored glass beads and measures approximately 0.5” wide. Linked together, the four diamonds and lever back hook measure just over 3.75” long. Made to order. Please allow one week to ship.
